The Texas Red Oak
Southern Magnolia
The leafs are long and thick with a dark glossy green, so green that florist use them to decorate. They produce a small white flower that rises in late spring all the way through summer. there reproduction method is based on the spreading of pollen in their flowers. If you wanted to grow you own all you would need is a shovel and decent soil and of course water and sun. Many small insects feed on the large leafs especially caterpillars. Disease is a major limiting factor, bacteria can get inside through scabs and cause leaf spots killing leafs and also fungi can weaken the tree. This tree is going to have a great effect on timberview it will not only be beautiful and bring shade for us and will be a great benefit for our texas environment.
