The Texas Red Oak

The texas red oak can grow up to seventy five feet and live up to one hundred years. It grows in warm moist environments and commonly grows in texas hence the name. It's leafs are simple with lobes going around in a random pattern that change to a red-orange to orange in the fall. It reproduces using acorns that are spread far from water, squirrels and other animals. The tree is great for housing birds due to its dense branches and thick leaves. Limiting factors mostly consist of disease which can cause death of some branches or leaves. This tree is going to have a nice effect on the timberview and texas environment. It will become a community for birds to live in our full environment .

Southern Magnolia

The southern magnolia can grow up to eighty feet and live as long as a hundred and twenty years. It grows in moist environments along the coast and in almost all of texas.

The leafs are long and thick with a dark glossy green, so green that florist use them to decorate. They produce a small white flower that rises in late spring all the way through summer. there reproduction method is based on the spreading of pollen in their flowers. If you wanted to grow you own all you would need is a shovel and decent soil and of course water and sun. Many small insects feed on the large leafs especially caterpillars. Disease is a major limiting factor, bacteria can get inside through scabs and cause leaf spots killing leafs and also fungi can weaken the tree. This tree is going to have a great effect on timberview it will not only be beautiful and bring shade for us and will be a great benefit for our texas environment.

White Cedar

The white cedar, also known as the southern red cedar, can grow an amazing one hundred and twenty feet, and live up to eight hundred years! It grows in cool moist environments with rich soil. It's leafs are small and thin, very similar to an evergreen aka a christmas tree. This tree produces the commonly known pine cone, where its seeds are protected from hungry predators. To grow one of these your first going to need a lot of room and a lot of time to wait for it to grow and depending on weather you using seeds a very large shovel. The tree is so large there is plenty of room for nests of all kinds, like birds, squirrels, and bees. This tree is pretty much invulnerable other than humans cutting it down for lumber. It is a highly adaptive tree being able to grow in overly watered areas like near rivers or in swamps, it can even grow on sides of cliffs. This tree is going to be amazing for generations to come. It will be large and provide great scenery as well as house many creatures that are at this time gone.
