Nuclear Power
A non-renewable resource
How Nuclear Power is formed
Radioactive minerals such as uranium are mined. Electricity is generated from the energy that is released when the atoms of these minerals split into nuclear reactors.
How Nuclear Power is used.
Nuclear energy is used to bind a nucleus of an atom together. Nuclear power plants use steam, turbines, and generators to turn the heat released by fission into electricity.
Nuclear energy is non-renewable because it cannot be replenished.

Advantages
Just a small amount of nuclear energy produces a lot of energy. Raw materials are cheaper and last a long time. This process doesn't give off pollution.
Disadvantages
They're nonrenewable resources. If there is an accident large amounts of radioactive waste will be released into the environment. It is very hazardous to human health.
