To continue our journey to excellence in this area, we gather data from stakeholders to determine where we are as a district and to set and act on realistic, measurable goals for continuous improvement.

Is your student connected with the military?
In 2009 the Texas Legislature adopted the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Students. The Interstate Compact is an agreement among member states to abide by a common set of requirements related to the education of military children. The purpose of the compact is to remove barriers to educational success imposed on children of military families because of frequent moves and deployment of their parents. Beginning in the 2013-2014 school year, the Texas Legislature is requiring all districts to report the enrollment of military-connected students (Texas House Bill 525).
Boerne ISD is committed to supporting military-connected students and families. It is important that this form is completed on each individual child that is military connected. The information will enable district and campus personnel to be aware of any potential needs, as well as provide students and families the information and support that pertains specifically to them.
If your student is the dependent of military personnel, please fill out the survey for each eligible student by clicking on the link below.

Double lines at Dismissal
AFTER SCHOOL DISMISSAL

Thank you for helping us make after school dismissal a smooth process that moves swiftly while also allowing us to keep students safe.
These descriptions will assist you in communicating with teachers, in writing, on how your child is going home at the end of each day. If you plan to walk onto the campus, your child is considered Parent Pickup and will be dismissed from the gym as stated below.
· Parent Pickup-Sit by grade level in the gym. These students will be called one by one as soon as the sidewalk in front of the gym is clear of all bus riders.
· Car Rider- Sit by grade level on the covered porch in front of the school. Staff members on duty will call students when their vehicle has pulled up to the assigned flag. Parent pickup students will not be seated with car riders.
· Right Walkers/Bikers-Students meet at the Bike Rack in front of the cafeteria. Students with bikes and scooters line up on the sidewalk. Walkers line up behind them. Students are supervised by staff to the end of the driveway and then dismissed to finish their journey independently. Please do not pull your child from this line until they reach the end of the driveway.

· YMCA – go to the cafeteria.
· Bus Riders & Daycare- Bus riders/Daycare go directly to their bus in the bus loop. If their bus is not there, they sit as a group under the covered area until their bus arrives.
Helpful Tips and Reminders
Visitors
- All visitors to our campus must check in at the office with valid photo identification. Please be sure to have your ID with you anytime you visit our campus
- Our school day begins at 7:25 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 7:35 a.m. We look forward to seeing your student on time each day.
- Dismissal is at 2:50 p.m.
- Please have your child attend school all day, everyday, unless they are sick. Please schedule appointments for after school whenever possible! We appreciate your suppport making the full instruction day an important part of your family's schedule.
- If your student is absent, please provide a written note upon return.
