Hello Conroe Tiger Families,
It is great to see so many of our students participating in various U.I.L. activities this fall. We are well into the District portion of many of our fall sport activities and our Fine Arts are beginning various performances. We wish all of our students nothing but success. Thank you to our sponsors, directors and coaches that are spending time preparing and working with our students. Here are a few updates and reminders:
Student IDs-SMART Tags - All students grades 9-12 are required to wear their ID while on campus. All students new to Conroe High School will receive their initial ID and do not need to bring their ID from their previous campus. Students who need a replacement ID because they lost their original will be charged $5. Temporary IDs will be $1.
Attendance Matters - Our Attendance Rate for last week was 94%. It is important that your child is in class each day unless they are ill. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed.

Cell Phone Committee Information - Conroe ISD has kicked off the District Cell Phone Committee. They will work to evaluate our current guidelines and recommendation by the School Health Advisory Mental Health Subcommittee. They want our CISD families to engage in this process and to help guide the committee as they work to evaluate our guidelines. Please see the website they have created (https://www.conroeisd.net/school-cell-phone-committee/) to keep everyone updated throughout the process. They will post agendas, presentations, and any other information shared with the committee. Parents, teachers, staff, and campus administrators are asked to respond to the survey below by Wednesday, September27th , at noon. The anonymous responses will be used to inform the Committee’s work. Learn more here.
Notes from the Nurse - When your child is ill, please contact the school to let them know he or she won’t be attending that day. It is important to remember that schools must exclude students with certain illnesses for periods of time as identified in state rules. For example, if your child has a fever over 100 degrees, he or she must stay out of school until they are fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications.
In addition, students with diarrheal illnesses must stay home until he/she is diarrhea free without diarrhea-suppressing medications for at least 24 hours. Illness at school is evaluated by the health service staff in the clinic area. A child who demonstrates the following symptoms should be sent home from school.
Fever of 100 degrees or more.
Suspected contagious condition or disease.
Vomiting or diarrhea.
Severe stomachache, headache, or earache.
A child who is too ill to function in the classroom.
A full list of conditions for which the school must exclude children can be obtained from the school nurse.

If you bring your student to school by vehicle, then please remember that the traffic loop in front of the Ninth Grade Campus contains two lanes.
