Who were the Forest Brothers?

The Forest Brothers were Estonian Latvian, and Lithuanian partisans who started a querilla war against Soviet rule during the Soviet invasion and occupation of the three Baltic states during, and after, World War ll. Similar anti-Soviet Eastern European resistance groups fought against Soviet and communist rule in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, and western Ukraine.

What Now?

The second World War is over. But the partisans in Lithuania,Latvia and Estonia, later forgotten by the world, were still fighting a hopeless battle for their freedom. The attacked the Soviet keeping forces from out of the forests. That's why people call them "Forest Brothers". Not very many of those forest fighters survived the long years in prison camps afterwards. Now, some of the Forest Brothers live to tell their journey's today.
