Principal's Message

6:30-7:30 Classrooms Open
This is a fun night to visit your student's classroom and to visit the classrooms of the next grade level to see their learning! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Notice regarding At School Medication
A parent/guardian must pick up the unused medicine in the school office. You may pick up your child's medicine on the last day of school. Any medication left will be discarded according to district protocol.
Medications at school next year: A new Medication Consent Form will need to be completed and signed by your healthcare provider each new school year. Forms are available from the school secretary.

Mrs. Kathleen Benedict
Years as SLP: 32, 27 in the schools
Age of clients: 12mos - senior citizens (3-18 in the schools)
What will I miss most about Baywood: Everything, especially the students and the staff!
Hobbies: Traveling, dancing, meeting new people, hiking, reading
Retirement Plans: Work privately as an SLP, travel, visit family and friends, join service organizations (e.g. WomanAde), upgrade and renovate my house!
Ms. Wendi Craig
Years in Education: 28
What grade levels or schools: 3, 4, 5 and 6 Sunnyside (13) and Baywood (15)
What will you miss most about Baywood: Baywood is Family! Everyone puts a smile on my face! :)
Hobbies: Travel, photography, pottery, gardening, reading, and eating
Retirement Plans: Doing all of the things listed above, plus spending time with family, friends, and nature.
Mrs. Paula Dishen
Years in Education: 33 (30 at Baywood)
What grade levels or schools: K, 1, 2, 8 (mostly first and second)
What will you miss most about Baywood: The students and the staff
Hobbies: Reading, walking, spending time outdoors, and shopping
Retirement Plans: Spending time with my family (I have a new grandbaby due in September!), travel, house projects, and relax!

Years in Education: 31
What grade levels or schools: Two Schools: Skykomish School (Skykomish, Washington) and Baywood Elementary. Grade Levels: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
What will you miss most about Baywood: The kids and the staff.
Hobbies: Reading, hiking, bicycling, playing guitar, kayaking, and camping.
Retirement Plans: Move to Washington state; do lots of hiking, camping, and bicycling; play as much music as possible (maybe come back to Baywood for Folksong Friday!)

Life & Work Skills (non-credit): Provides life/work skills, Improve job skills, gain confidence to speak English in your community, Increase involvement in your children's education. The Classes are in the evening.
