  • Went to the University College London to study law


Civil Rights Movement

  • Went to South Africa at the age of 24
  • Gandhi spent 21 years in South Africa help leading a Civil Rights movement

Salt March

  • The British disallowed Indians to have salt
  • Gandhi led a group to the shore and started taking some salt

India's Independence

  • When Gandhi got back from South Africa he tried to help India get its Independence
  • Gandhi struggle but in 1947 India gained its Independence

Gandhi Assassination

  • Gandhi was assassinated on January 30, 1948
  • He was assassinated in Raj Ghat, New Delhi
  • There is also a memorial for Gandhi in Raj Ghat, New Delhi
