Letter from the Principal
May 18, 2020
Hello Sundling Parents,
It was great to see so many of our students last week, cleaning out their lockers and dropping off school items, even if it was behind a mask. Thank you parents for bringing you child to school to help with an important part of closing out the school year.
To our 7th grade families: The final day of school is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th. This date has changed from earlier communications of May 27th, based upon guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education and D15 Board of Education approval. Teachers will provide activities and/or make final connections with students prior to the start of summer vacation. Final report cards will be available on Infinite Campus, with 4th quarter grades resulting in a PA (Pass) or NGP (No Grade due to Pandemic). Be on the lookout for an email in the coming days with directions for those that ordered school yearbooks, and a final opportunity to drop off any school items.
To our 8th Grade families: The final day of classes will be this Thursday, May 21st. Congratulations to our graduating class of 2020. Teachers will provide activities or make final connections with students prior to the start of summer vacation. Final report cards will be available on Infinite Campus, with 4th quarter grades resulting in a PA (Pass) or NGP (No Grade due to Pandemic).
Please refer to my email at the end of last week with information for picking up graduation items and dropping off Chromebooks and school related items.
Eighth grade graduation ceremonies will be held virtually and will be viewable on the District 15 Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as the school’s website, https://www.ccsd15.net/WRS. Ceremonies will be available to view at the time designated below. The videos are archived online and can be watched anytime in the future as well.
