Safari Reader
Using Safari you can highlight text on a webpage to have it read aloud. This is very helpful when students are working with text that is difficult for them to read or the text is long. Once the website is open in Safari, drag your cursor over the text you want read aloud. Go to Edit- Speech- Start Speaking. When you want the reader to stop go back to Edit- Speech- Stop Speaking.
When in Safari you can also use the Reader feature to read text based web pages without ads or unnecessary content. Just open a webpage in Safari and look for the blue Reader tab in the top right hand corner.

Go Noodle
Go Noodle
This website is great for taking short brain breaks. Your class can choose from relaxing, energizing or just plain fun breaks. Each brain break goes with a short video for students to follow along with. The more time the class spends on brain breaks the more they see their "champion" (a small creature you choose) grow. This is great for transition times or when students just need a short break.
