Well, March is finally here and with it the warmer weather too. Both are definitely a sight for sore eyes. I hope you all have a chance to get outside at some point over the next few days to relax and enjoy it. Have a great weekend!
- We wrapped up Parent-Teacher Conferences this week. I want to thank you for taking the time to meet with your child’s teacher. If you weren’t able to attend conferences and you would still like to talk to your child’s teachers, please let us know so we can make arrangements.
- Mid-Term grades were given to your child this week. Remember, this is mid-term and your child has time to bring up their grade before the end of the quarter.
- This time of year is really tough for students. It’s right before spring break, and students sometimes lose focus. I would encourage you to check your child’s progress in each class.
- Since we started hybrid, we’re worried that many students are not taking their zoom days as seriously as their in-seat days. Remind your child their learning continues even on the days they aren’t in-seat.
- As always, if you have questions or concerns please continue to reach out to teachers.

Congratulations to the following GMS teachers who have been nominated for one of the CPS awards this year:

Notes from the Nurse- Attention Parents of 8th Grade Students
Please see the flyer below regarding the required TDap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) and MCV (Meningitis) vaccinations. As always, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call the GMS Health Room at 573-214-3246. Providing this proof of vaccination promptly will ensure that your 8th grade student will be ready to start the 8th grade next school year (and/or 8th grade summer school) without delay.
6th/7th Grade Registration- Due February 28th!
