STAFFING UPDATE

I wanted to take moment and let the DHCommunity know that one of our kindergarten teachers, Ms. Meagan McCarthy, has officially resigned from her Kindergarten position at Davis Hill. Meagan will be missed deeply by us all. Meagan started at DH in 2014 and has been an integral part of our K Team and definitely has had a significant impact on many of our DHDragons and their families. Meagan is going to be taking a First Grade position in Foxboro, MA, closer to her fiance/ new home. I know that we are all wishing her the best!

We are currently working to interview and hire an additional kindergarten teacher and further information regarding staffing will be made available in August closer to the beginning of the school year.

See flyer below from Holden Rec. All questions regarding the Before/ After School Program should be directed to Holden Recreation.

Wiffle Ball Wednesdays

Trying something new this summer... Wiffle Ball Wednesdays...

Join me at Davis Hill on Wednesday, July 20 and July 27 between 4:00-4:45 if any of our DHDragons want to take some swings against me. All DHDragons welcome! In between swings DHDragons can play outside... I'll have a few soccer balls out as well.

While I am working quite a bit during July, it is highly recommended that if you plan on visiting the office that you email me and Mrs. Slavin at jay_norton@wrsd.net/ tara_slavin@wrsd.net to make sure that one of us will be in the office. Tara does not work the full summer and I do have some vacation time coming up so it is best to email ahead of time to make sure one of us will be in.

Supply Lists for '22-'23

Please see the Link Button Below for a list of basic school supplies for the '22-'23 School Year.

Please note that individual classroom teachers may have some additional requests for supplies in addition to the supplies listed (Classroom Placements are typically not made public until late August/ approximately one week prior to the school year beginning).

Summer Reading

Summer reading is highly recommended for all DHDragons! While everyone needs some time away during the summer months, it is important to keep our DHDragons reading and/ or listening to stories/ books! The Gale Free Library is an amazing resource and I highly recommend scheduling time to bring your DHDragon to the library to select some cool summer reading material.
