This month truly has been March Madness! Teachers continue to receive staff development in the areas of Differentiated Instruction for WIN, Guided Reading & Guided Math small groups, and interventions aligned with our tiered MTSS framework in the areas of academics, behavioral, and social/emotional learning.
We are in year three of our Ready Math program, and we are consistently analyzing data to review student progress and monitor and adjust instruction as appropriate. Curriculum & Instruction also just announced our new program for English Language Arts for the 2023-2024 school year. The decision was based on extensive time staff spent piloting two programs throughout the year and sharing out resources and feedback. Thank you to all staff that were involved in this process! HMH: Into Reading will be our new ELA program for students beginning in the fall! We have a great deal of learning taking place behind the scenes to better empower our teachers and staff with comprehensive programs that align with the standards, and we're looking forward to implementation.
Safety is always our number one priority. We continue to be diligent about ensuring our buildings are safe at all times. Please remember to bring your license when you come to the building. All visitors are required to check in at the front kiosk before entereing. You must scan your driver's license, and then you will be permitted into the building once office staff buzz you in. We appreciate your partnership to ensure that our building is secure at all times.
I wish everyone a relaxing Spring Break with friends and family. For those that celebrate Easter, I wish you loads of Easter egg hunts, visits from friends and family, and lots of delicious candy and chocolate!
Take care,
Dr. Amy Orlando

Girls On The Run Off to a Great Start!
Girls on the Run is a program for girls in Grades 3-4 to help them recognize their individual strengths, build healthy habits, complete a Community Impact Project, and learn about teamwork! Girls work with trained volunteer coaches who inspire girls to build confidence and other important life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and physical activity.
Confidence through Accomplishment:
Our 3rd and 4th grade Girls On The Run girls are working hard to train for their 5K. The girls have been training every Tuesday and Wednesday after school since the beginning of March. Their season will end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.
The Girls on the Run 5k celebration will be on May 13, 2023!
