Cordelia Hills Update

Message from the Principal

So many events coming up over the course the last two months of school. 3rd-5th grade will begin STATE testing the last few days of April and testing will continue across most of May. I am providing more information on CAASPP testing below.

Remember that we aim to maintain positive attendance habits over the course of the final trimester of the year. We appreciate your efforts to make sure our students are at school every single day.

Please see the calendar below. There are some differences in the first day of school and holidays for next year. Additionally, we have a change to the daily school schedule for next year. You can expect an update on the anticipated schedule changes next week.

District Calendar: The 2019-2020 calendar is out. Check it out here. Please do your best to plan vacations, appointments, times away from school around the school calendar. We need every student here everyday that they are healthy.

CAASPP is a California State Summative Assessment for all students starting in 3rd grade. Students test in English-Language Arts and Math. 5th grade students are also assessed in science. PLEASE AVOID HAVING YOUR STUDENT OUT OF SCHOOL during the testing dates. The opportunity to focus and test with the class is imperative to their success.
