State Assessment Requirements Still Uncertain

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) has applied for a waiver to the U.S. Department of Education to postpone requiring students to take the State Assessments during the 2020-2021 school year. Spring has arrived and districts still have no answer from ODE whether testing will be required, so we are preparing for testing in the event the requirement stands. The current testing schedule is posted on the ODE website. Each year districts are required to provide notice and an option to opt-out of their students participating in state assessments. The notice and opt-out forms can be found on the ODE Website at the links below, and on our district website.
