The nominating committee of the Isbell PTA Board would like to invite you to be more involved in your child’s school! We are currently accepting applications to fill our 2016-2017 Isbell PTA Board and YOU would be a perfect candidate! We know all of the excuses because we have said them ourselves. Too busy, I work outside of the home, I have no idea what I would do…if you have thought it, so have we. And trust us when we say we can find the perfect fit for you on our board! Many of us work outside the home and most of us had no clue what being on the board meant….and who isn’t swamped these days. The great thing is we have a GREAT board with GREAT leadership and we all help in every aspect of every position. You will never be alone. The application is included in this blast or you can pick one up in the Isbell front office. The nominating committee’s information is included, so reach out to us today. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Please say you will join us in continuing to make Isbell Elementary PTA as fabulous as it has been in years past!

Human Book??
What is a human book? A human book is someone who shares a personal experience to students, where you tell “your story”. We are looking for some parents who have an interesting story to tell. Here are some examples of possible Human Books: someone who grew up in various countries around the world, someone who has been on one of a kind trips, Interesting jobs, someone who has a disease or disability, Local farmers, Government officials, Refugees, someone who runs a charity/food bank in Frisco, Military/Veterans, Native American Tribes, a person or athlete that has physical disabilities. The purpose of Human Books is to expose students to other people’s experiences and to teach them the importance of being different. If you are interested in being a “Human Book” in the Isbell Library please email Mrs. Beathard (BeatharB@friscoisd.org).
