Band/Music with Mrs. Jasinski (Mrs. J)
"Music & It's Role In Our Lives"
This class meets 10 times over each trimester. We will explore how music plays a role in our everyday lives. Focusing on SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) we will talk about how music brings comfort, joy, healing and feeling of togetherness. There are 4 assignments for this class that will be submitted on canvas. The final assignment is a composition that each student will create using chrome music lab.

Drama with Ms. Moriarty
For Drama, students meet 8-9 times during the trimester (with the exception of Crimson students, who take Drama all year). In this class we are exploring ourselves and our role in the world. Students focus on self care, inner and outer characteristics, and using our voice for good. There are 3-4 assignments for Drama that will be turned in on Canvas.
We'll also be doing an after school fall play virtually, and a spring play.

Chorus/Music SEL with Mr. Bell
Chorus/Music SEL contains 10 classes in which students will social aspects of the community, themselves as individuals and music. We will delve into music, emotions and interactions.

Remote Expectations and Grading for Music and Drama
Art with Mr. Prado
Students and Mr. Prado will meet 3 times each cycle for all 10 cycles of the trimester. During remote learning students will primarily gain experience in two-dimensional drawing and design. Lessons will allow students to succeed not only in drawing but making connections between their own world, their community, the world at large, and the Art world. Therefore students will frequently engage in examinations of professional and contemporary Art and how it relates to them as unique creators.

Students will consistently submit: warm-ups, short written responses, lesson exercises, & drawing assignments. And all assignments are graded on 3 factors:

Orchestra with Mrs. Casinghino
You should come to every class because we will learn note reading, rhythms, fingerings, and we will listen to recordings too!
