10 Minute Parking
We have received complaints from parents who need to pick up their children for early dismissal from school in the afternoon that parents are parking in the "10-minute" parking space for extended periods and waiting for their children there until the 3:35 pm dismissal. We kindly request that all families abide by the "10-minute" parking sign in the Dryden parking lot and not use this as a space for pick-up at dismissal. Thank you!
Thank You, PTA, for a Marvelous, Magnificent Mousetrap Machine Assembly!
Students had a blast at this high-energy, interactive assembly about simple machines. They learned about the lever, wheel, pulley, inclined plane, screw as well as how energy and force impacts how these machines work. We thank the PTA for bringing this enriching and entertaining experience to our students!
Digital Citizenship Week, February 6 - 10
Dryden Technology Facilitator, Mrs. Goldstein, is organizing a fun-filled week to promote the five competencies for digital citizenship from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE):
2/6 Monday - INCLUSIVE: I treat others online with respect and empathy.
Be a good sport online! Wear your favorite jersey. (We are moving Sports Day from 2/10 to 2/6 accordingly.)
Be aware of the sources you use for information. Put on your "thinking cap" and wear a hat!
Be a force for good online. Dress like a superhero!
Take a rest from technology. Wear pajamas!
Be safe online and protect your digital footprint. Wear silly socks!
Online Safety Parent Information Night, February 23
The conversation about digital citizenship and online safety will continue with parents on February 23 at 7:00 pm in the Dryden LMC! Dryden parents are invited to a presentation and discussion with School Resource Officer John O'Leary and Dryden staff. We hope to see you there!
