'20-'21 Calendar Updates
On September 28, 2020, the Erin School Board revised the school calendar which can be found on the Erin School web page. The following days were added as no school days for students: 1-4-2021, 4-6-2021, and 5-3-2021.
These days will be work days for staff.
Those were the only changes made.
Learning from Home Guidelines
Thank you so much for your continued partnership this school year. We are working hard finding every avenue to keep ALL of our students learning regardless of the situation.
Some questions have surfaced this week in regards to using our Learning From Home option when students are typically in school.
If a student who is typically coming to school Face to Face is showing symptoms, you can access our virtual Learning From Home that day. You must call the office before the school day starts to report your child will be online. This is necessary for attendance and safety purposes.
Appointments should be handled as they have been in the past. If your child is at school, please just pull them for the time needed. While the teachers are adjusting to many scenarios, they prefer consistency when possible. Any disruption in the routine does impact learning.
If you would like to switch learning formats, we ask that you email administration directly to create a plan and set a timeline that is manageable for students, staff and families.
Again we are working to provide flexibility when students are ill but ask that families recognize switching back and forth is a challenge for our already taxed teaching staff.

Apologies for any confusion.
School Lunches for Virtual Learners
- Orders can be placed between 9:00 am Friday and 9:00 am Monday.
- Orders need to be picked up on Tuesdays between 1:15 pm-2:00 pm at the rear entrance of Erin School.
Meals are no cost regardless of free/reduced eligibility until federal funding is exhausted (anticipated to be through December 2020).
Complete one order form per child you are picking up for. Children may only receive 1 lunch per scheduled school day; receiving meals from more than one community location is prohibited.

Memorial Fund for Dennis Schultz
For over 20 years, Dee Schultz has been an instrumental teacher at Erin School.
She has been the one to hug and hold our children when they needed it most. She is the foundation of their learning and sets them on the road to success. She is the welcoming arms of Erin School and she needs us now due to her husband's unexpected passing while on his way home from work this past Wednesday, September 9th.
As part of the Erin School Family, please consider a gift in memory of Dennis Schultz to help support his wife Dee and their daughters Jordyn and Hayley (whom both attended Erin School and Hartford Union High School). Proceeds will go towards helping pay for the funeral and additional expenses as they begin their journey without their beloved father and husband.
You can donate directly to the family online, by going to PayPal and then enter @DennisSMemorialFund in the send money search bar (please note that your donation may state that it is "pending" while the new account is fully opened).
You can mail a check made payable to Dee Schultz to the Erin School (which has agreed to collect for this memorial):

Please feel free to share this info with others. Thank you so much for all your support; together as an Erin Family we can help the Schultz family through this.
