Rainy Day Reminders

  1. Give yourself extra time to get to school in the morning.
  2. Be extra cautious when driving and crossing the street on foot/on bike. Rain sometimes covers windshields and windows, making it harder to see pedestrians and other cars.
  3. Wear closed-toed shoes and socks. Bring a rain coat and/or umbrella.
  4. Splashing in puddles is awesome - but makes for a super miserable school day. Wait to jump in puddles for when you can change your clothes at home.
  5. When you arrive at school, go straight to your classroom or the Multi to stay dry before we start the day.

Help us install our tiles!

We are seeking the help of a licensed contractor who feels confident or has experience in installing ceramic tiles on the concrete surrounding our amphitheater. If this sounds like you or a friend, and you are willing and able to donate your services or help us for a very low fee, please reach out to us here at Sunset Ranch. We have years of tiles that students and families designed and we need to get displayed!

Sac State's Academic Talent Search is back!

Parents of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders - this info is for you!

Did you know it's the law?

It is the law in California that any child under the age of 18 in California must wear a helmet when riding or operating a non-motorized scooter, bicycle, roller skates or skateboard a bicycle on a bikeway, street, or any other public path or trail. The helmet must fit properly, fasten correctly, and adhere to accepted safety standards. Bicyclists can find the full text of California’s helmet and other related laws in the state’s Vehicle Code, Article 4: Operation of Bicycles [21200 – 21213].

Violating the state’s bicycle helmet laws can result in a fine, and it will be the parent/guardian’s responsibility to pay the fine for an unemancipated minor who receives a traffic citation for failing to wear a helmet. More importantly, it could save your child's life!

Check out the graphics below on how to choose and fit a helmet for your Coyote. As we see students on campus, we will be reminding them to not only wear their helmet, but fasten it beneath their chin.
