Frankfort High School 4 Star DIstinguished School
Ms. Duan Yunying
Ms. Duan Yunying is from Shanghai, China. She has come to America to teach our FHS students Chinese Language and Culture through the UK Confucius Institute. Before coming to Frankfort she was working in a public high school in her country. She graduated from the University there in 2014. When she returns to China after teaching at FHS, she will still work at her previous high school in China. Her school preserves the position for her. She has a lovely sister, she is working in Allinpay, Hefei.
Ms. Yunying and her boyfriend, Jingxiang Hou, love traveling. Yunying says, "When I go back to my country, we will get married." She said, "We have been to a lot of cities in my country. During the traveling, I not only admire the beautiful sceneries but also can see many interesting people, which will be the most unforgettable things." She has been to Harbin, Qiqihar, Beijing, Hebei, Dalian, Luoyang, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan, Hong Kong, and so on in her country and also has been to Los Angeles and Las Vegas in our country. In her spare time she enjoys taking a walk and taking some photos. She has been to America for no more than 2 months and says, "I like America, it's a different country. Now I am still trying my best to get used to all the things in America."
FHS students are lucky to have her knowledge and expertise about China and the Chinese language. About FHS, Ms. Yunying says, "I also like our school. The kids here are friendly and lovely. During my stay here, I really want to make friends with all of you. We have a saying in Chinese "There must be one out of three who can be your teacher(三人行,必有我师)". So I really want to learn from all of you."
When you meet Ms. Yunying, welcome her to our Panther Family.
