What the Tech?!
Video Players
Youtube
Youtube is blocked for students in our district. Remember to ALWAYS preview all videos in their entirety before sharing with students and use a video player filter to remove popups and possibly illicit ads.
Google Slides
My favorite! Use Google Slides to curate and present your Youtube and Google Drive videos. You will avoid popups and ads while you stay organized. Simply click "insert" and choose video. From there you can search for and add videos from Youtube and your Drive.
ViewPure Website
This can be used on the teacher side of things very nicely. Grab the link from YouTube video and put in into the ViewPure URL box.
Video Options for Student Viewing
Seesaw
Seesaw is a great option to flip your classroom with videos. Record video instructions for your students that they can watch as much as needed. Students can also upload their own videos to SeeSaw to share their learning in a protected digital environment.
Learn 360
Turn Off The Lights Chrome Extension
Grab this one from the Chrome Web Store. It Darkens the background and sidebars to give the YouTube video a more movie-like experience.
