Art Club
Art Club meets after school on Wednesdays from 2:30 - 3:30 in the art room. We work with a variety of different media and techniques of art making. All students are welcome to join! Check out the recently completed mural commissioned by Mr. Mishriky and completed by (Olivia M, Lilian G., Bella C. and Annamaria K.) In the front lobby, for everyone to enjoy, we welcome you to visit and take pictures with the "Together we can Soar: Wings" life sized collage (created by Art Club and Bigs & Littles.)
Family and Consumer Science: Community Service
The Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) Department believes in partnering with the community. Recently, FACS students had an opportunity to give back to members of the Bolton Senior Center. Students baked and decorated pies and quick breads and shared them for Thanksgiving. In addition, a cookie tasting event was planned for the Bolton seniors. The event involved students working collaboratively to make six different types of cookies . All FACS students had the opportunity to participate in the cookie production and decorating. The students did a fantastic job creating the cookies and Mr. Jones, FACS teacher, delivered the baked goods. We have partnered with the Bolton Senior Center for several years and value the chance to bridge the generations through food. Normally, seniors are invited to visit the high school, taste and evaluate the baked items while socializing with the students. This year our event was modified due to Covid 19 protocols but was still a success. It is rewarding to know both students and seniors benefit from our interactions.
