Leadership

The quality of leadership...
...involves making difficult decisions,...
…making mistakes and learning from them,...
… and being an ordinary person with extraordinary ideas.
A leader is...
the one who makes decisions for others whether they're good or bad.
Adolf Hitler is a great example of someone who had to make difficult decisions. During World War II, Hitler was the one making all of Germany's military calls. These included when to retreat, when to advance, and when to reveal yourself to the enemy.
a human being, who makes mistakes.
George Washington, as well as any other human being, made mistakes during the French and Indian War. Just as any military general makes difficult calls, Washington's decisions cost his men's lives and caused the British Empire to lose in the war.
an ordinary person who is special in their own regard.
Katniss Everdeen, protagonist of Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games" trilogy, is an ordinary teenage girl who mistakenly leads her country into a civil war and revolution.
"The art of leadership... consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention."
--Adolf Hiter
"We should not look back unless it is to derive useful lessons from past errors, and for the purpose of profiting by dearly bought experience."
--George Washington
"I never wanted any of this. I never wanted to be in the Games. I just wanted to save my sister and keep Peeta alive."
--Katniss Everdeen
Am I a leader?
I believe I'm a leader. Just as any typical teenage boy, I play video games and a particular one I enjoy is PlanetSide 2, a massively multiplayer online strategic first person shooter, focussed on territory control and teamwork. I've led several squads and platoons into battle and am able to think strategically using probability and odds. I am a good math student and I believe I can use my knowledge and stubbornness to lead. In what, I'm not yet sure, but I believe that I can.
