Holy Trinity Catholic School March 2nd, 2023
Our Mission Statement
PRAYER
I am not always eager to do your will. I'd often much rather do my own will. Please be with me on this Lenten journey and help me to remember that your own spirit can guide me in the right direction. I want to 'fix' my weaknesses but the task seems overwhelming. But I know that with your help, anything can be done. With a grateful heart, I acknowledge your love and know that without you, I can do nothing.
Amen
A Note from Mrs. Longden
Lent is an amazing time of year in a Catholic school because it gives us an opportunity to teach the children about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how His life on earth has changed our life now and for eternity. We are able to practice our faith with prayer and traditions. We are able to walk with Jesus in a very real way, of course that happens at so many different levels of understanding from our 3K all the way through our 8th grade. Our staff grows in their faith too as they guide the students. We reach out in service to our community during this special time as well with an all-school service project.
We are so thankful to each of you for being a part of our school. We need everyone. Our school operates as a small parochial school associated with a parish. We are Catholic in our mission which directs us to a very specific line of teaching. We teach Catholic morals, traditions, and practices. This make me very proud as a Catholic leader to be at the helm of instructing our Catholic faith to our littlest of learners.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden

MARCH VIRTUE - HUMILITY
Saint: St. Bernadette Soubirous
Aspiration: Come Holy Spirit, increase in me the Gift of Fear of the Lord
Meaning: Awareness that one's gifts come from God and appreciation for the gifts of others
Prayer: Dear Jesus, You said, "Learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart" (Matthew 11:29). You are God, yet You became little out of love for me. So I desire to become little for love of You. Help me to be honest about my strengths and weaknesses. May You be glorified in everything that I do!
Scripture: Luke 14:10-11
Opposing Trait: Failing to recognize the gifts of others; being too proud or having false humility
Ways to Cultivate: Show deference to others; acknowledge the accomplishments of others; look at one's strengths and weaknesses honestly.
Looks Like/Sounds Like: Clap for someone who does a good job. "You did a really good job!" Give compliments to others and accept compliments from others. Let others go in front of you in line. Show deference to others. Acknowledge the accomplishments of others. Look honestly at your strengths and weaknesses.

Congratulations to all the student athletes on a great season. It was exciting to see your growth as the season went along. A special acknowledgement for our 8th graders who played their last game after 4 years of playing in the Wildcat basketball team: Blake Scott, Anthony Coleman and Tony Kern. Best wishes to you as you move to High School.
Last, but not least, a huge thank you to all the coaches, refs and parent volunteers for helping make this season a success. We sincerely appreciate all of you!
