Password Best Practices

Please view the Password Best Practices document for recommended support ticket format for student password resets and personal password safety tips.

Password Best Practices

Personal Email Best Practices

Using a personal email account such as Gmail on JCISD or district devices is not recommended. Using alternative email accounts and storage options like Google Drive can create security risks. The account settings for your work email account provide the most secure environment for you to handle potentially sensitive student or staff information. Please use personal email and storage on personal devices.

Encrypting/Protecting Documents

It's important to protect any documents that contain PII(personally identifiable information). Excell, Word and PDFs all have ways to password protect PII. For additional details and how to password protect visit our site, Encrypting/Protecting Documents.
