Message from Brenda
Please note my e-mail that was sent out today with further information about the current situation regarding school resumption for students and continue to check your e-mail until a firm decision is shared.
Thank you to our hardworking and committed Site Staff Team who have worked tirelessly for days to get our school campus pristine again! We are all extremely grateful for the work they do for us and the way they have such pride in our school. A BIG thanks to Ricky and the Team.
The photos above say it all!
Book your Three Way Conference as soon as you can! (Teacher, Child and Parents)
No doubt you are eager to find out about how your child is going at school and to learn from them and their teacher about what is going well and what could be even better? The school will have common evenings for consultations which will include:
Tuesday 9th October and Thursday 11th October, from 3:30 pm-7:00 pm.
Each teacher will also make other session times available which you will be able to access on the Gateway. Please book in quickly to ensure you get a time that suits you. We encourage all children from Years 3-6 to join these sessions with you. It is optional for Year 2 students to attend and we don’t include Year 1’s in these sessions, as they are a bit too young at this stage.
You will need to book your appointment by going into Gateway. If you have not updated your information please do this at the same time. To book an appointment please follow these instructions.

It is difficult for our specialist teachers to make a schedule to see all 180 - 360 parents. If you require information or updates from your child’s specialist teachers (Music, PE, Mandarin), please contact them directly. Their email is in the school diary. For your information, a Mandarin workshop for parents will be taking place this term. More details to follow.
These conferences are part of our annual reporting cycle which includes:
Meet the teacher
Three Way conferences
Inquiry reports (after the first 2 units)
Half year written report
Student led conferences (student, parents, teacher)
Inquiry reports (after the next 2 units)
End of year Report
Please also be reminded that you can contact a teacher at any time outside of these scheduled meetings if you have queries or concerns. Please make an appointment via your child’s school diary.
An Exciting New Initiative for Parents!
On Tuesday October 2nd from 8.30-10.15 am we would like to invite you into school to be involved in Parent Circles and Learning Walks. This is a new way of working with you.
An opportunity for parents to be learners within their child’s school:
To find out about learning and watch ‘learning in action’ across a variety of year groups
To understand approaches to learning and teaching
To find out ways to support their child at home which complements learning at school
For more information about how this will work, please click here which will take you to our website link.
Please note that on this occasion, Year 6 students will not be involved as they will be in Happy Valley and 5B (Mrs Bellerby’s class) will not be in their home room, however they will be in their Mandarin lesson.
Numbers are limited so RSVP quickly using this form. We look forward to sharing our focus on learning with you all.

Year 6 Bake Sale
Year 6 kicked off this year’s playground fundraisers with a fantastic team effort. ‘Love our Planet’ was the theme and the challenge was to keep waste to a minimum, while keeping the fun and energy high! Parents and caregivers got creative with a pre-loved toy & book sale, five different games and a huge variety of savoury and sweet treats. There was something for everyone and the afternoon raised over $12,500 towards the playground project. Thanks to the Year 6 Class Parents and everyone involved!
News from Medical Room
We will keep parents informed when the re-scheduled dates are confirmed.
