Why did I choose Rosa Parks?
I chose Rosa Parks because of what she stood for. She's standing for equality, for freedom. Rosa Parks is inspirational because of her beliefs. Rosa Parks was brave when she refused to stand up for the white man. Rosa Parks respected herself and other African Americans, she believed that each and every person should be treated equaly. She did what she believed what right when everyone else told her eithics were wrong. She fought against peer pressure to make sure that she could have equality for everyone.
What did Rosa Parks accomplish?
Rosa Parks's act inspired the Montgomery Bus Boycott when she refused to stand up for a white man. Rosa Parks was arrested on December 1st, 1955 when she refused to stand up for a white man when the bus driver told her to. Rosa Parks was the "mother of the civil rights movement" making her one of the most important citizens of the 20th century. Rosa Parks was a seamstress in Montgomery, Alabama when she refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white male passenger. The bus dirver had her arrested and convicted of violating a local ordinance. Her act sparked a citywide boycott called the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This boycott raised a man named Martin Luther King Jr.
What are the values of Rosa Parks?
Rosa Parks valued fairness. She wanted everyone to be treated equally and fairly. Rosa Parks stood up for her values by not standing up when the bus driver told her to stand up for the white man and if she did not she would be arrested, she sill stayed seated. Even after being arrested she still fought for the equality of white people and black people.
Why is Rosa Parks a good mentor for young adults?
Rosa Parks is a good mentor for young adults because of the way she stood for what she thought was right even though everyone thought she was wrong. She started a movement that would change history. Rosa parks inspired a lot of people to stand for what they thought was right.
