The Amazing Herbert Carter!
Claim: What A BRAVE Guy :D
Treated unfairly... :(
The Airmen was a group of African-American fighter pilots who fought in World WII (WWII).
The Tuskegee Airmen were treated unfairly.
They were segregated keep away from others by the law. They couldn't train them to be pilots.... Which meant that they couldn't fly with them.

As a kid, Carter loved to fly planes. He created and loved to hangout with his friends. As he created his planes with his friends. I believe he was a really really brave guy because he fought 77 missions. People won't do it because they might of been scared because there was people in the other team with more weapons.
Mrs.Mildred Hemmons Carter :D
Carter's wife, Mildred Hemmons Carter, was herself a pilot and groundbreaker. She was the first woman ever to earn a pilot's license in the state of Alabama. The couple was married for nearly 70 years, until her death in October 2011. They were married for 68 years.

Carter and Mildred loved each other till the end... she was also brave :)

The women in the drawing is Mildred ... he was so proud of her. She was the first woman ever to earn a pilot's license in the state of Alabama.

Carter and Mildred are together in this photo...at the time that Red Tails was released. The group earned the nickname Red Tails Because of the red rubbers on his plane.
