Important Norris Traffic Information
Please refrain from using your cell phone while driving in the carpool lane. It is a safety concern for the students, staff and other drivers. In fact, cell phones should not be in use in school zones at all.
Car Drop-off in CARPOOL LANE ONLY
Students should only be dropped off directly from your car in the carpool lane. Please do NOT drop students off on the side of the streets, double park in the roads or block through traffic in the mornings. This hinders morning arrival and is a safety concern for all.
Thanks for your help making it "safety first" at Norris!

Kindness Week 2018
WOW!! We had a FABULOUS Kindness Week 2018! All grade levels explored positive friendship characteristics, how to make a friend and how to introduce yourself to a new friend. We had lots of fun sending kind notes to each other and celebrating friendship at our Valentine’s day party. Thank you to all of you who participated in Kindness Week!
- Home challenge: Kindness goes beyond our school walls. This week, an activity will be sent home with your child that will allow you to identify as a family, the different ways a person can show kindness at school and at home.
Take a look at the pictures in the beginning of the newsletter to see the wonderful Kindness Week fun we had!
Thank you!
Thank you everyone for the kind notes, letters, cards and gifts for Counselors Week. My heart is so full of love and happiness from your kind words. Working for Norris is a true gift. There really is Nowhere Like Norris!!

Please see the link for more information about the movie.

Due to the popularity of this screening, there have been 2 more added to the calendar. February 15th at 7:00-9:00 at Liberty High School and February 27th at Wakeland High School at 7:00-9:00. PTA Lifetime Membership Nominations
We need your help! Each year the PTA selects someone to receive the PTA Honorary Texas Life Membership Award, which is one of the highest forms of recognition to let the volunteer know how much we truly appreciate their dedication to our children and the community. Please help us by nominating a faculty member or a volunteer who you think has gone above and beyond to make Norris and our community a better place! The submission should include a brief description of why you think they deserve this recognition.
Nominations need to be submitted to membership@norrispta.org by March 2, 2018. We can't wait to hear about all the amazing people out there who deserve this!
