Marketing and BAMO Class Field trip
Our business classes had an amazing trip to check out local school stores, an entertainment business, and a dessert shop! Thank you to Boyne City High School, Petoskey High School, @northcentralmc, @northernlightsrecreation and @jojoscookiecompany for a fun filled day of learning. Fun Fact: This trip was designed around our visit to the college because our Marketing and BAMO 2 classes are earning college credit through NCMC.
Salmon Time
On Friday, April 21st, 8th grade students from Mr. Fleshman's Science Class released 94 salmon into the Jordan River. As participants in the Michigan DNR's Salmon in the Classroom Program, East Jordan received 125 salmon eggs in the fall. Throughout the year, students learn about salmon, their history in Michigan, basic water chemistry, nitrogen cycling and much more. Students enjoyed observing the fish growing and assisting in their care. With a 75% success rate, this was an amazing year!

EJPS Exhibit at Raven Hill
EJPS has several student groups participating and showcasing in this exhibit. Mike Schroeder, Paige Poindexter, Mary Brower, Sarah Roche, Jen Lewis and Angela Barrera all have separate student groups who are going through the Cooper-Hewitt Design Process and will have a range of projects on display on May 6th . There are other schools in the ISD participating, but EJ definitely has the largest number of groups. This is one of two exhibits like this in Michigan and one in 14 across the country in collaboration with the Smithsonian.
