Message from Dr. Epperson

Good luck to our UIL academic teams as they wrap up their competition this weekend! So far the students are doing great. These students always represent our school so well. Good luck!

Our PTO is hosting a luncheon for our teachers on Friday, February 12th. We are so thankful for a wonderful community that consistently takes care of our students and teachers. Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Please do not send deliveries for students to the school. We ask students to exchange gifts at home, and any large items (giant stuffed animals, flowers, balloons) that happen to show up at school will be kept in a room on campus to be picked up at the end of the day.

We have received several calls and emails from parents who missed the Jan. 29 deadline to order a yearbook. Grace being a prevalent theme in the past year, Jostens is extending it to us. You must order by Friday, Feb. 19 to get your student’s copy of the historical account of an unbelievable year. Remember, that Jostens provides a credit card payment plan for those concerned about spending this month. You may order online at

Author Visit News

We are so excited to share with our CMS community that we will be hosting author Nathan Hale as a visitor to our campus on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Mr. Hale is the author and illustrator of the Eisner-nominated, New York Times bestselling graphic novel series on American history “Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales,” as well as numerous other published books. All CMS students will have the opportunity to hear Mr. Hale speak that day and learn from his experiences as an author.

As part of his visit, Mr. Hale will be signing books for students who choose to purchase them ahead of time. Signed book orders are due on Monday, February 8th; no late orders will be accepted. Books that are brought from home or purchased elsewhere will not have an opportunity to be signed the day of the author visit. All order forms and money must be turned in to the CMS Learning Commons/Library by the end of the day on February 8th.

If you have questions, you can email our Media Resource Specialist, Mrs. Scott at
