Belle Aire Tree Planting
We originally had our tree-planting event scheduled for Saturday, May 13, and that was postponed. The arboretum rescheduled with us for May 16, and we recruited some help from our fifth and sixth grade students to get the trees planted. Arboretum staff members taught the students about the trees, how to correctly plant them and how to care for them. Students were excited to help and to learn some things along the way. Great teamwork, everyone!

Field Trips
Some of our field trips were provided by the district, and others were provided by our PTA. Thank you for your support! The students have been really enjoying their experiences.
End-of-Year Events (updated information)
We are excited to bring the end-of-year assembly back to Belle Aire this year. The end-of-year assembly is a fun opportunity to recognize students who have participated in activities at Belle Aire or within the district. It’s also a time that we recognize strong character (via Citizenship Awards for Grs. K-6)) and learner behaviors and academics (via the Presidential Awards for Gr. 6). Families are welcomed to attend this all-school assembly, and I’ve included a list of various recognitions.

Field Day and School Picnic (June 6):
Our field day will begin shortly after the conclusion of our end-of-year assembly, and we will be recruiting parent volunteers to help with the field day activities and lunch very soon.
Field Day will be set up as a full-day experience, and students will be participating in a variety of activities. Students will rotate through a variety of outdoor station/sport/play stations during one half of the day, and they will focus on various SEL activities for the other half of the day. PTA will provide lunch to help us continue celebrating and closing out a great year.
In order for this to be a success, we will need your help. We will be looking for volunteers to help run the stations throughout the day. Parent volunteers will be assigned to one of the stations and will have directions, rules, and everything else needed to help each station run smoothly. Classroom teachers and staff will rotate through each station with their classroom so parents can focus on the activity, and teachers can help with whatever the students may need. Please be on the lookout for that sign-up. THANK YOU in advance for your help. It's going to be fun!
Students will be outside for an extended period of time.
-Please make sure students have a water bottle and appropriate sun protection.
-The school will remain available for student access, and there are planned breaks throughout the day.
-Students are able to bring sun protection and/or bug spray to school to apply as desired.
Students are encouraged to wear their class color on field day.
1st grade – Red
2nd grade – Orange
3rd grade – Green
4th grade – Purple
5th grade – Yellow
6th grade – Blue
Sixth Grade Clapout (June 7, 11:15 a.m.):
This event is planned for June 7 at 11:15 a.m. Sixth grade students will line up and tour the school together one last time as Bulldogs. All of the other students and staff will be lining their tour route clapping and cheering for them as they leave their elementary years behind and head into middle school. Sixth grade families are welcomed and encouraged to gather at the school's main entrance to greet your students, to capture some pictures, and to begin the celebrations.
