Public Hearing: Compass Academy Carnegie Unit Waiver
The Public Hearing is to allow the District to seek approval of a waiver of that portion of Title 23 of the Illinois Administrative Code Section 1.440(c) which defines specific requirements for graduation as a specific number of “units”, using the definition of “unit” as the credit accrued for a year’s study or its equivalent. The District is seeking this waiver for Compass Academy in order to implement competency-based education as outlined in the Illinois Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness Act (110 ILCS 148).
There were no public comments related to the waiver.
