Rejoice! Hope in Resurrection!
Easter did feel different this year. But we still celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope we have because of the Resurrection. Jesus is with us today and everyday. That is the hope of the Resurrection.
There are many reasons to rejoice. As this Easter Season continues for 50 days, we rejoice in the promise Jesus shares with us. As Jesus explains to Thomas in this weekend's Gospel:
"Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
Although we can not celebrate these promises together with our community, we can rejoice in our hearts. Alleluia!

Mass Readings for Sunday, April 19
The Sunday Mass readings are a wonderful way to teach our family about God, Jesus, and our faith. This week's Gospel story tells us about how Thomas doubted Jesus' presence at first, but then believed. Together, discuss these readings with your children.

Acts of Kindness for our Healthcare Workers!
Our Healthcare workers are working extremely long hours away from their families during this pandemic, and could use some cheering up! Holy Family Parish and other churches in our Diocese want to send these heroes positive messages and love! We are asking children to draw a picture, create a card or a note to send to hospital workers showing them that they are supported and cared for by our Church, children and families.
A thank you, a prayer, a picture, or a nice note would be greatly appreciated. When signing your message, please include:
- Your child's first name (not last name)
- Family Faith Religious Education Program or #familyfaithstrong
- Holy Family Parish, New Brunswick
Once your child creates the card, they can send their positive message in two ways!
- Snap a picture of the card! The Diocese of Metuchen is posting pictures of these card on their website. Please email the pictures to catherinek@holyfamilyforall.org and we will pass it along!
- Mail your card directly to our Healthcare Workers! Below are addresses to two area hospitals you can chose to send the card:
St. Peter's Heroes/Medical Personal
St. Peter's HealthCare System
254 Easton Avenue
New Brunswick, NJ 08901
JFK Heroes
Hackensack Meridian Health
JFK Medical Center
65 James Street
Edison, NJ 08820
