A Note from Principal Madsen
Hello Millennium Students, Families and Staff,
I want to thank you for a great first week as Principal of MHS. What a great week! Student Council did an outstanding job with spirit week, our athletics did fantastic this week, and the spirit line and band were incredible. Top that off with excellent instruction in our classrooms, and it really was an outstanding week. I'm very thankful to be working with the Millennium staff who have shown themselves to be seasoned professionals committed to the success of each MHS student. I also want to say thanks to the families of our MHS students for the warm welcome this week.
Please remember that Parent Teacher Conferences are this Monday evening from 3 - 7 with a break for teachers to eat dinner from 5 - 5:30. If you haven't done so already, please follow the link below to sign up for times to visit with your student's teachers. *The sign-up will close at 1:00 Monday so teachers can plan their conference sessions.
I also want to remind everyone that free and reduced lunch applications are due Sept. 16. This includes those who need to re-apply for this school year. The link is provided below, or you can stop in to the office for a hard copy.

Wishes for Teachers
Created in 2016, the Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers, powered by DriveTime program grants classroom wishes to teachers across the state of Arizona. The Fiesta Bowl organization saw that many teachers spent their own money to enhance their classroom experience and developed a program to aid teachers in that effort. As a way to support, celebrate and honor Arizona educators, teachers are invited to fill out an online application detailing their school and classroom wish. Wishes are selected by a random drawing to receive a $5,000 grant. All wish recipients are invited to walk in the Desert Financial Fiesta Bowl Parade and be recognized on-field at the Cheez-It® Bowl. In its three years, Wishes for Teachers granted over $2.2 million to Arizona teachers, impacting over 100,000 children across the state.
The 2019-20 Wishes for Teachers application period will open on September 4 and close on October 5 at 5:00 p.m.
