Author Visit
Kate Messner, Author Visit Grades 5-7
Three years ago, TES welcomed author, Kate Messner to their school. She mesmerized them as she talked about her books, where she gets her ideas from, and how she does her research for her books. They talked about Kate's presentations long after her visit! Next month, Kate's publisher is sending her on a book tour to promote her newest book, "Breakout." Because of her positive experience at TES, she recently reached out to them to see if Tyngsboro would like to be one of the stops on her tour. We quickly agreed. Kate will be visiting grades 5-7, the same kids that listened to her talk when they were 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Over the next month, teachers will share and read a small excerpt of Kate's new book. If students would like their own copy of "Breakout" in time for Kate's visit, the link for purchasing Kate's book can be found below. Using this link is the only way to guarantee that the students will have her book when she visits. Part of her visit will be dedicated to signing copies of her book that students order through this link. The deadline to order is May 29th. In the order comments please put the school's name, the teacher's name, and the student's name. Choose the "pick up in the store" option so as not to be charged a shipping fee. Use the coupon code: BCPMessner18 to get 10% off the purchase. We look forward to Kate's visit in June.
