Habitat

Brown bears live in mountains, meadows, valleys, and rivers. Brown bears live everywhere in Alaska but, the southeast region. They also live in northern china , Russia, Europe, and northwestern U.S.A.

Movement

When winter starts to approach, brown bears get ready for a massive hibernation. After hibernation and spring is here,the bear(s) are/is ready to see the world all over again.

Body

Most brown bears have a thick coat of brown fur. But, the color of a brown bear can go from dark brown to light blond. Most brown bears are bigger than black bears and have more prominent spinal/shoulder bump and longer claws but, less prominent ears.

Diet

During the fall the average brown bear eats 90 pounds a day for hibernation. On a normal day a bear would eat fish, other brown bears, grass, berries, squirrels, and even roots.

Reproduction

Sometimes adult female brown bears go to hibernation pregnant. After hibernation and spring is here, the female is no longer pregnant and she has 1-4 cubs with her that are just strong enough to follow.
