Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Framing the Lesson
1. What students will be doing/learning in class today, AND
2. What students will be able to do with that knowledge.
This strategy is called “framing” the lesson because it includes parts both at the beginning and the end of the lesson. It will look very different from a Kindergarten room to a 5th grade classroom.
The main thing to remember is that by framing the lesson, you give the students and yourself a clear focus for the lesson.
System Safeguards: Areas of Focus and Action

We will be meeting over the next few weeks with all grade levels to work through a Root Cause analysis process.
Immediately, each grade level can ensure students are writing authentically several times a day beginning in PreK. We know our writing concerns do not begin in 4th grade.
