At the Special School Board meeting on December 29, the School Board praised Rosey for her outstanding work with each member of the Board taking time to thank her for her service to the school district. The School District administrators are also very grateful for the expertise Rosey has provided in managing the District’s financial affairs. NO SCHOOL REMINDER
In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., there is NO SCHOOL for students and staff on Monday, January 18th, 2021.
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'what are you doing for others'?
Make Monday, January 18th a day ON instead of a day OFF!
MLK Day of Service #MLKDay
Internet Safety, Security, and Monitoring for Parents & Caregivers
What is my student researching and learning about on their Chromebook? This is a question many caregivers ask each day and the Glendale River Hills school district wants to help answer that very question. The district currently uses Securly as our monitoring system to keep students safe on their school-issued Chromebooks. To help monitor your own child’s online activity, the Glendale River Hills Curriculum Committee approved moving forward with plans to make available the free SecurlyHome app for caregivers with students at Glen Hills Middle School during the Dec. 7th, 2020 committee meeting. With the SecurlyHome app, you can see a real-time online activity feed of your student’s school-owned Chromebook. Securly also provides 24/7 monitoring for signs of bullying or self-harm and will notify you if anything related to your child is flagged. Please look for future communications coming soon about how to enroll. Also, check out Securly Parent Page for additional information.
Our Responsibility
As a district, we are committed to providing a quality education for ALL students.
Our commitment is to EVERY kid, EVERY day, Whatever it takes!
