Cartersville Middle School
The Hurricane Watch, September 2021
From the Principal
Welcome back, everyone.
The faculty and staff of CMS are looking forward to a great school year! Last year, despite adversity and uncertainty, our students and staff achieved great results. CMS performed well above the state averages and regional RESA averages on the state Georgia Milestones Assessments and showed tremendous growth on our local MAP assessments. While we all understand the varying impacts and continued challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cartersville Middle School will continue to focus on supporting our students in mastering essential academic standards, while keeping them safe and healthy.
As we navigate the current COVID-19 landscape, we encourage students and staff to wash their hands and wear a face mask when social distancing is not possible. We also encourage students and families to self-screen each day for symptoms. If your student has a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
Thank you for your support, and Go Canes!
