24/7 paper tutoring for SPOTO STUDENTS
The help is here. Anytime. Anywhere.
Hillsborough students in grades 6-12 have unlimited, on-demand access to free academic support through Paper. Do you need someone to talk about a particularly difficult math problem? A paper tutor will be there to help students in a matter of seconds. Do you need someone to read an essay and make suggestions on how you can improve it before submitting it? A paper tutor will be there to help the students.
No matter what a student's academic needs are, Paper's expert learning assistants are available to help 24/7. Just log in and ask a question! Students can log in through Clever by clicking on the Paper icon.
Unlimited expert support for students, at no cost to families.
Paper is a free resource for all Hillsborough students in grades 6-12. Any student can connect and talk to a tutor for 30 minutes or 6 hours. Their use will never be limited and families won't have to pay a dime to seek assistance.
When working with a Paper Tutor, students should not expect to receive answers. Instead, their tutor will ask them guiding questions so that students think critically about what they know, what they have tried, where there are misunderstandings, and how to move forward.
Try it now or RSVP
To talk to a tutor right away, students can log into their Clever accounts and click on the paper icon.
To learn more about how Paper works, parents and guardians can sign up for question and answer sessions in English and Spanish and speak directly with a Member of the Paper team. If you have any immediate questions, please feel free to contact parents@paper.c om.

Khan Academy- What a great opportunity
Parents,
We are pleased that you are helping your child find the best practices available for the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT®. With Official SAT Practice, students get a personalized, 100% free SAT practice program through an exclusive partnership between Khan Academy and College Board, the creators of the SAT.
With the official SAT practice at Khan Academy, your child:
- get a customized plan tailored to your strengths and areas of focus as indicated in your PSAT/NMSQT® or SAT results
- hone your skills with thousands of practice questions, suggestions, and video lessons;
- take up to eight completed official practice tests online or on paper;
- receive instant feedback and adaptive recommendations on what to practice;
- establish a personalized practice schedule to receive reminders of when to practice; and
- review the experts' tips and strategies for the exam.
Students who prepare using official SAT practice see a substantial improvement in their SAT scores. To receive customized practice plans based on their PSAT/NMSQT results, students will need to link their Khan Academy accounts and their College Board accounts.
See the video link for help with linking accounts.
How to link your College Board + Khan Academy accounts
Now that you have your PSAT/NMSQT scores, you can link your College Board and Khan Academy accounts to access free and personalized internships at Khan Academy.
ACT / SAT Test Information
Please review the ACT testing dates. The ACT can be used for college entrance measures, possible scholarship qualifications, and as a high school graduation benchmark. Please consider taking both the SAT and ACT this year.
The SAT and ACT generally cover the same topics. Both ACT and SAT scores are used for college admissions decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. Neither the SAT nor ACT is harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test over the other.
Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch may be eligible for a testing fee waiver. Please see Mrs. Kentish rm. 218 to request a waiver. Students with waivers can register by the late registration deadline with no late fee.
