Beauty & The Beast, Jr., March 12, 13, 17, and 20
The Mandell JCC's Youth Theater Program will perform a tale old as time, Beauty and the Beast, Jr., Saturday, March 12 and Thursday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. with two Sunday performances, March 13 and 20 at 2:00 p.m., at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT. The production is under the direction of Carolyn Mostel Weiser with musical direction by Robert Tomasulo.
Step into an enchanted world where Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, meets the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for adults and are on sale at the Mandell JCC Box Office, 860-231-6316, tickets@mandelljcc.org and atwww.mandelljcc.org. Beauty and the Beast, Jr. is sponsored by Mandell JCC Partner, Rosenberg Orthodontics.
Random Hacks of Kindness, Jr.
The mission of Random Hacks of Kindness Junior, Inc. (RHoKJr) is to empower students to use technology to positively impact the challenges facing local nonprofits in their communities. We do this by hosting one-day hackathons around the state where students (4th-8th grade) are paired with computer science mentors and nonprofit representatives to develop prototype smartphone apps for local charities.
