In 2014 over 450,000 entries for missing children under the age of 18 into the NCIC. Over 700,000 were reported missing in a one-year period. That's about an average of 2,000 children being reported missing each day.
How to keep your self from being abducted
Be prepared if you are in a situation.
If you see an abductor run away as fast as you can.
Make a big scene, like screaming if he catches you, to warn others
Fight as your life depend on it.
Know how to deal with an abduction and escape.
Lie about who you are and tell them something that will make them not want to abduct you.
How to look for missing children
Always be aware of what is going on in your community of town. If you know a child is missing you can report it to the cops and they will deal with it. You can also contact your friends or neighbors to see if they know some information. Check social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram too.
Report it to the police.
Spread the word, the more people that know about it the better.
