Get A Spring in Your Step! It's time to get lots of work done

Spring Break will be hear in less than twos and we have lots of work to do.
We are ending the 3 quarter in two weeks. When student return after spring break our 2nd Exhibition series will begin. We will continue to use our tracking systems to determine if students are being productive in class. Students should also be doing 3-5 hours of work outside of class. If you are not doing Homework, you are not trying to get better at reading, writing and making sense of the world.
This week we will start Unit 6 , Online Privacy Non Fiction Text and Argumentative Writing unit .

Unit 5: Experiences of Immigration
Your Compare and Contrast Performance Task is Past Due.
Essential Question:
Essential Question: What conflicts are faced during experiences of immigration?
For this unit, you will write a comparative essay on immigration focused on conflicts that people face during their experiences. This essay is intended to inform readers, with a focus on those who have a perception of immigrants based on stereotypes, of the variety of experiences faced by immigrants.
Expectations
Use at least 2 different texts in your response.
- Typed, double-spaced, with a works cited page
4th Amendment & Online Privacy Pre Panel Questions
Special guests panelist will be visiting the U School to talk about the 4th Amendment and Online Privacy Concerns you should generate some questions about internet privacy and students’ fourth amendment rights(online and offline)
Unit 6: Online Privacy Unit Guide
Essential Question:
Does having an online life mean giving up your private life? Is it possible to keep online privacy and still spend lots of time online?
You will write an argumentative essay. Your essay must include (1) a clear and concise claim on the the issue (2) outside resources to support your position on the issue (3) a counterclaim with textual evidence (4) follow the correct essay organizational format.
Written: 500-1200 words, typed, double-spaced
Cite at least 3 sources of textual evidence from the non-fiction articles,, videos and other sources.
