The best place to see the Aurora Borealis is in a northern location. The best time to see the Aurora Borealis is when the solar maximum, which is when the sun peaks in storm activity.intense spots are seen at dawn in the Northern summer Hemisphere, and at dusk in the Southern winter Hemisphere. The color of the aurora depends on the wavelength of the light emitted.
