Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
November 10th, 2023
We had a wonderful, full week at the Lab! Donuts with grown-ups was a blast -- check out the highlights at https://www.facebook.com/LuthervillePTA/. Our Read-A-Thon launched this week -- we hope your kiddo can be part of the event! More information on that below. And our 2nd Graders enjoyed a theater performance at Goucher College.
We also had a successful first picture day with Lifetouch. If you did not send in an order on Wednesday, it's no problem -- you can create an account on mylifetouch.com and enter our Picture Day ID: EVTSX3F9N, there you can submit an order and opt to be notified through their site as well for all future picture days.
This afternoon we sent Attendance Summaries again, in alignment with our efforts to communicate about attendance, which is essential for student achievement. Please note that if you see an absence coded (21) that means that it is unexcused. That could be because there was no note provided if the child was sick, or it could be because there is not a legal code for the type of absence (family trip, for example). If you see an absence coded 21, it's not too late to send a note!
Looking ahead, we are excited for American Education Week! If you are able to join us (schedule below), don't forget to RSVP here so that you can skip the line and have a badge waiting for you!
Finally -- a reminder that schools are closed for students this Monday, November 13th and next week the only day for students is Monday November 20th.

American Education Week
We invite you to come and visit your child's classroom during American Education Week. We have developed the schedule below in order to space out visitations and accommodate parents throughout the week. If this time does not work for you, you may work with your child's teacher to arrange for an alternate time that works for the instructional schedule.
We are offering the opportunity to expedite sign-in for American Education Week by giving visiting parents/guardians the opportunity to RSVP so that we can pre-print badges. We will run badges the day before visitations. If you complete the night before or morning of, we will need to run your ID on arrival.
