Big picture

Forward Together!

Dear Families,

The 2022-23 school year is around the corner and we are so excited!

Students are showing enthusiasm and excitement for the upcoming school year, and staff are preparing to bring out the unique gifts and talents of each student. As we continue to navigate COVID-19, our Safe Learning Continuum continues to be a great resource to understand mitigation strategies being implemented.

The 2022-23 district calendar is available on our website. Please note that there has been a recent revision, with the change of a non-student day from Friday, Sept. 23 to Monday Sept. 26. This change is due to homecoming which is scheduled for the week of Sept. 19-23. Homecoming planning is already underway and before we know it we will be showing our Viking pride at a host of homecoming events. So much to look forward to!

Please look through the attached 2022-23 Student/Parent Handbook carefully. For ongoing reference, the 2022-23 Student/Parent Handbook can be found at the Parent/Student Resources page of our district website along with notifications required by the Dept. of Education. If you would like a paper copy of the Student/Parent Handbook please contact Arle Chambers at 651-674-1011 or

Please feel free to contact me any time you have a question. Building principals are also ready to answer questions and discuss accommodations to ensure a strong start to the school year. I can’t wait for our students to return and for each student to receive high quality services that bring out their purpose and passion!
