Extended Closure- Home Learning Plan
AR/Amath will be accessible from home. A link is provided on each grade level's learning plan. Here is the link for your reference.
All teachers will be available daily from 9:00a.m.-11:00a.m. for communication. This could include e-mail, phone, google hangouts, zoom, etc. Students and parents are welcome to reach out to teachers at anytime during the day. Please allow some grace and patience with responses. Some may be available to answer immediately, while others may be delayed. Teachers have been instructed to respond within 24 hours. If you still have a situation that hasn't been answered/resolved, please email me directly and I will help coordinate efforts to provide the support needed.
Learning specialists (special education) will be contacting individual students/parents directly to explain instruction and activities.
Please be sure to read over the Home Learning Plans (linked below) in order to see which assignments will be graded. Those assignments are indicated on the plan.
Please be sure to read the section regarding Chromebook and paper pick up times. (Below Home Learning Plans) Some grades require paper work while others may only need internet access. Teachers should be reaching out to you (if they haven't already) with more information regarding chromebook/paper pick up.
*Please note there are new pick up times available so be sure to read that section with information.
If a chromebook is checked out and it stops working please contact the office and we will assist you with getting a new one.
During this extended closure time Mrs. Hentges would like to be available to her students as needed. Please feel free to email Mrs. Hentges (jhentges@blairoaks.org) at any time. Please know that she will respond to her emails as quickly as possible (if it is after 8pm she may not respond until the following morning). She will be checking emails regularly throughout the day. If your child needs to speak with Mrs. Hentges please email her to set up a time and method for communication. You will also find many resources on Mrs. Hentges’ school webpage. Mrs. Hentges loves her students and wants to be a resource for them during this time.
Our district nurse, Julia Harrison, will be checking her email during our days away from school. If you have school related health needs, please email her at jharrison@blairoaks.org.
Below you will find a link to all grade levels Home Learning Plan. The Home Learning Plan will include all subjects, specials, and reading support. There is also valuable information included at the top of each of the plans that may be useful when accessing certain websites.
Having these links all in one spot will help parents with those of multiple students in the building. If you save this email/link you can directly access all of their information. If you have any specific questions regarding instructions, expectations, or work please contact your child's teacher.
