Web 2.0 Tools for My Classroom
Effective Web 2.0 Tools For the Classroom
Learning About Web 2.0 Tool
Google Docs
Google Docs can be used to have students collaborate on the same document at the same time. This would be great for students to work on their typing skills and being able to work in a group. It also allows the teacher to make comments for students to go in and make corrections to their work. I think that using Google Docs could help free up some time in the classroom because students will be typing their responses instead of writing and the teacher having to struggle to read the writing.
Poster My Wall
Poster My Wall is another tool that could be used when students are working independently or collaboratively. I have students create posters all the time in the classroom showing information that they have learned to display in the hallway. Using Poster My Wall, students can create a graphic poster online and it can easily be displayed for all the students to see on the smartboard. It allows students to insert photographs and text and "show what they know" in a neat and organized manner. This is something that my students are already doing, so having them complete it on Poster My Wall would help save time and they would still be able to use their creativity.
Smore
Smore allows you to create flyers for any type of event. I think it would be great for keeping parents updated with the events of the classroom and the events going on at school.
