Principally Speaking

We are officially into the 7th month of the 2018-19 school year. February brings visits from Punxsutawney Phil, Cupid, and Mother Nature! This year is looking to be no different as we hunker down to endure more harsh weather this month. Please remember to dress your STAR learner for winter weather and recess. Our students will be going outside if the temperature or windchill is above 25 degrees, and the playground is clear of snow and ice. Coats, hats, and gloves should be sent to school each day during the winter months.

We are also excited to be hosting Student Led Conferences on February 28th from 6:00-6:45 pm. This will be an Open House format, so feel free to come and go anytime during that time and then join us for Reading Night from 6:45-7:30 pm. Our STARS have been working very hard collecting exemplary samples of their work to show off.

As I say every month in this newsletter, it is an honor to serve as the principal of Nashua Elementary. Thank you for trusting us with your STAR learner every day! If you have any questions about what is happening in our classrooms, please contact your child's teacher. They are always happy to answer any questions you might have.

Calling All Kindergartners!

If you have a child who will be turning 5 before August 1, 2019 please call the Nashua School Office at 321-5160 to begin the enrollment process. Mark your calendars for Kindergarten Round-Up on March 28th from 6:00-7:30 pm
